Feeling Blue?

Blue has always been one of my absolute favourite colours, but I rarely relate to what the colour expresses. In literature, the colour blue often describes an item that is cold and alone, an icy winter day for instance or a sea of tears.

However, to me blue gives me a sense of limitlessness, dark blue for the great expanse of space and undiscovered magic. Light blue for the depth of the sea and the height of the sky, knowledge worth searching for. Seeing blue gives me hope in a time of sorrow.
